CHARLOTTE ETUE & LAWRENCE EUBANK

SkipNstone Kennel is a Canadian Kennel Club Registered Kennel for Portuguese Water Dogs located in Southern Ontario, Canada. The kennel is our home in a rural setting, shared with 2 legged partners Lawrie Eubank and Charlotte Etue. We have been owned by PWD for 25 years and breeding PWD litters for 20 years. These amazing dogs are our family members.

Lawrie and Charlotte are both retired and have both taken part in handling and showing our dogs.  We collaboratively raise one to two litters a year. Our goals are to raise healthy dogs with amazing temperaments. Each breeding pair is chosen with these goals in mind. Even though we own both male and female dogs, we often breed to males outside of our kennel if they are the best match for a particular girl.

 

All genetic tests are done to help with the selection of breeding pairs as well as hip and shoulder x-rays through the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA). Structure and meeting the standards for the PWD are also important even for a family pet. Good structure can decrease the risk of arthritis and hip injuries in the future.

 

Puppies are sold on CKC [Canadian Kennel Club] non-breeding registrations and a SkipNstone contract.

Puppies go to your home at 8 weeks of age.
